Lisa Harvey Roach

My purpose for this blog is to lead and transform myself and others to a higher level of living through conversations and idea maps that promote change and ignite a “can do” attitude. Understanding our brain power and using it effectively is the key to our success.

As a young girl growing up in New York City I was fascinated by the power of the brain. As an adult I remained intrigued but pursued a career in Engineering and Management.

In November 2007, after taking a 2-day Idea Mapping workshop with Jamie Nast, author of “Idea Mapping,” I realized that my fascination with the brain was truly a hidden passion and with Idea Mapping it had the potential to be one I could convert into a career opportunity. In Jamie’s workshop I learned that I could and should 1) use both sides of my brain, 2) nurture all of my gifts and talents and 3) use the Idea Mapping tool as a way to become more productive and creative. I was very excited!

In 2008 I started my journey of new beginnings. I became a Certified Idea Mapping Instructor in April and will be available to lead workshops in the Fall. I look forward to teaching on the benefits of Idea Mapping and inspiring many of you to embrace your amazing brain to maximize your success!

Lisa Harvey Roach has over 20 years of experience in Corporate America in the areas of Engineering, Sales, Business Planning, and Program Management. She has worked for several major companies including General Motors, Bethlehem Steel, Eaton Corporation, Visteon, and ACH.

In addition to being a Certified Idea Mapping Instructor, Lisa is a Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) with a Masters Degree in Business Management from Aquinas College in Grand Rapids, MI and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Materials Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY.
